Cross-stitch embroidery is a part of our history. We might ignore it, but we will come across it. Likely, we will even unknowingly be storing it within our very homes. Take for example my own familial setting, the place I settle within. It is on the wall, as an antique sampler. It is in a memory box, my fathers young boarding school attempt….never finished of course. Many are passionate about this method, it is portable, easy to learn, can be made easy or complicated.
Although on the traditional side, this title actually sits and can exist in our age. We all love a designer name, a monogram of ourselves. So why not connect this concept with your artistic sentiments? The book itself teaches how to stitch many a pattern. The patterns could be embroidered on any cloth you like. Maybe you want to gift something unique. With a bit of preplanning, you could have time to use one of these cross-stitch patterns. They could be put onto a special piece of clothing, a house old item….
The book itself is so large, (we are talking well over 400 pages here), it is not likely that you will run out of alternatives and options.
